We started out as a group of military vets, both men and women from all branches of the service and of different ranks having a common interest in one thing , Motorcycles . At first this crew of vets met at cruise nights and eventually in 2007 called themselves the “Torrington Riders “. We ride together in a group on various charity rides and cruise nights.
In May of 2009 Len Dube, Commander of American Legion Post 38 of Torrrington ,Ct. got information on an American Legion motorcycle group called the American Legion Riders . Commander Dube brought this information to the “Torrington Riders “and instantly we saw that this was something we wanted to do. A meeting place was found and the plan was in place. Officers were elected:
Scott Stoeckle ............ Director
Richard Fortier ........ Assistant Director
Steve Janco ............ Treasurer
Mary Sears .............. Secretary
Dale Galpin ............ Sergeant at Arms
John Luciano ........ Historian / Web Master
Len Dube ................ Parliamentarian
J.Fred Lawson ....... Chaplin
